We had a great time, and I was SO GLAD that we decided not to brave the cold. Instead we went to the leisure center where it was so nice and toasty warm.

The Rood Family...

I am not going to post any family shots today, just because they might be going out in Christmas cards and I don't want to ruin the surprise.

This little man is exactly 1 month and 1 day younger than Quin and I can tell they are into all of the same kinds of trouble... ;) I am just kidding, he was such a sweetie - here is Weston watching his big sisters climbing up the tree.



Here is Matea - looking so pretty. I loved her and her sisters matching outfits. They said they thought they were silly (I think that was the word they used) , but I agree with mom - SO CUTE!


And last but not least - Kiara! Aren't all three kids so gorgeous?

Christmas Cards

I have ordered some really cute templates for Christmas this year. I thought that I would post a few to show you all what they look like. They are not all in this photo, just some of my favorites - these are all horizontal, but there are some vertical ones too... I have all of the designs printed up in a binder, so when you are having your photos taken, let me know that you are interested, and I'll bring the binder so that you can see the whole selection. Right now, I can order these as 5x7 prints that you can slide into your yearly Christmas card/letter. I am looking for somewhere that can print them as actual cards as well, but I am having a hard time finding somewhere that is good quality, relatively inexpensive, and also in Canada - or in the U.S. that has quick shipping. If you know of anywhere let me know... otherwise, enjoy!

Madchen Studios

A giant thank you goes out to Rachel at Madchen Studios who just took our family photos a few days ago- she was INFINITELY patient with Quin being so busy and two year oldish. He really wanted NOTHING to do with photos.

The photos are beautiful and I hope it's ok with her to post some for you all to see... the colors are so vibrant, LOVE them! Plus, so fast - our shoot was only on Monday night and I already have some to show off...

OOOhhh, and Wednesday night I have my cake decorating class at Michaels - the finale of Class 2 - I will post a picture once it's done - you will all be SO impressed. I started this class having no experience. I have maybe made 5 cakes in my life and iced and decorated...0. I will post some of the previous cakes at the end of this post.

The maternity photos that were scheduled for last weekend are happening on Thursday, weather permitting - we have had SO much rain.

Sunday I am doing some photos of my cousins Brennan, Ashley and Brittney - we were going to do them as a Mother's Day surprise for their mom, but schedules were just too busy.

Hiding...

This was taken at the Rotary Park in Southridge - Quin LOVES this park! You will notice the ground looks black - well it is made out of recycled tires. Such a great idea, and it is so spongy and soft. What you will not notice in this photo is Quin... he is hiding.
