A triple threat!

Is it still called a triple threat when it's not the standard 3 - acting, singing, and dancing? I'm not sure, but if it can be, then this girl is that, and more.

From what I hear, a talented dancer, a fantastic piano player, and also an aspiring actress. These are just a few of what I'm sure are her many talents.

We had a great time running around downtown in the snow, wasn't too bad until the wind started to pick up.

Here are a few of my MANY, MANY favorites from this session.

I had so much fun taking these, thanks Sam!

I know I promised, here they are!

These photos went out as Christmas presents, so I didn't post them back when they were taken, just in case a family member found out.
Here are a few of my favorites - oh and also check out the sweetest puppy...
Meeka

The great part about them having their photos already is that I know which ones are their favorites and I can post those here.

Here are a few from their fall session - I wish it was looking more like this
outside!

Meeka was peeking...

And a few in a grungy alley...

Have a great week!

The Lexington...

I was asked to come and take a few photos at Kingsland's The Lexington last week - they were in need of some photos of details in the suites that make them stand out, and upgrades, etc.

So here is just a very small selection and also a link to their page if you are interested in giving them a call to see/purchase a place.

The Lexington Medicine Hat Web Page

Some Kohler faucets...

I really love all of the windows and natural light in some of the rooms...

Granite counter tops and eating bar in the kitchen...

This is a master bedroom, I really really like the idea of a little sitting room off of the bedroom. At least that is what I would do with it... ;)

There are a lot of really interesting angles, this particular one is from the ceiling of the room pictured above... This would be especially great if you had an M as a first or last name! :)

Anyhow, that's it for now! Hope you are having a great week!

All of them!

Here is just a really quick sneak peek of the family photos that I took of the bride's side of the family the day after the wedding - see previous post for the wedding preview.

We had a great time, and I was SO GLAD that we decided not to brave the cold. Instead we went to the leisure center where it was so nice and toasty warm.

Here are a few of my favorites...

Cute!

Mom & Dad doing some boating...

I really love the color in this one...

The sisters...
Daniels family,
Thank you so much, I had such a fun time, and it was great to see you again after so many years! I am just about done everything and you'll be getting your disks very soon! :)

A wintery wedding and a friend from the land down under...

A few months ago a received an e-mail titled - Hello From Australia! - A photographic request‏.

This was a completely unexpected surprise, I thought to myself that I didn't know anyone in Australia except one person. A girl who I
grew up with and spent grades 1 through 12 with in french immersion. We were pretty well inseparable for some of those years. She got married right after high school, became a nurse and moved to Australia. I really hadn't talked to her since then, I am not going to say when that was, but suffice it to say that we just a reunion. Which is why is was so fantastic to hear that she was coming to Medicine Hat for her sisters wedding and also for Christmas.

I spent a few days with Tracie and her family and it was so great to re-connect with an old friend, we had a great time catching up.

Anyhow, the reason Tracie had e-mailed was
because she wanted to have some nice photos taken of the newlyweds to give them as their wedding gift.
So, we met right after the ceremony on a REALLY cold snowy day, here are just a few of my favorites...

The gorgeous bride right before the ceremony...

The handsome groom...

And a couple of the happy newlyweds...

I met the day after with Tracie and the brides side of the family for some fun casual pics - a preview of those will be coming soon too.

Congratulations to you both!

Gorgeous baby girl!

First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone, and I hope you are all having great holidays so far. I took these a few weeks ago, and they are a Christmas surprise for Dad. Since mom posted them on Facebook, I'm going to go ahead and assume that dad got his gift a little early... ;)

Anyway, what a sweet baby! I always say that, but I always mean it! Not a peep of a cry the whole time I was there, and no one got peed on. An all around good time!

Here are a few of my favorites from her session, her eyes are just so pretty.

The next two are my top two favorites. What a sweetie!

Just relaxing...

Ho, Ho, Ho!

Merry Christmas everyone!

For a brief second, I thought it was me...

It seems like there have been a lot of photos of this family on my blog... well, I guess there have been! This is the couple who had the surprise wedding - read more about it in this post - Surprise Wedding

Because their actual wedding was a surprise, they weren't able to invite all of the friends and family, so Skip and I went to Oyen in November to take the family photos that we didn't take at the actual wedding, as well as some photos at the reception.

Here are just a few of my favs. from that day.

Here is Shaune wearing his grandfathers cuff links - details like this are so special.

Skip got this one and I LOVE IT! I was shooting straight on - and that one is good too - but I really love the different angle on this one.

You may have noticed in the family photo above, and in ALL of the other photos, everyone seems, well, more happy than usual to be having a lot of family photos taken. I thought that maybe I got funnier, or maybe I had something in my teeth, no...

This was what was going on behind me for most of the photos, and I can only imagine what else. I may have to hire him for all of my photos!

I thought for sure she would sneak a taste, but grandma caught her first.

This was the moment when Shaune's sister said that she had found some old audio footage of Shaune singing as a child, he looks worried, and he was worried for a good reason, it was hilarious!

A special dad daughter dance...

The band Cold Shot was there to entertain for the rest of the night - they were really good!
Amanda's uncle plays base - he's the one with the cool beard.

Here is the link to their myspace page if you are interested in booking them for your event.

Thank you so much Shaune and Amanda, we had such a great time getting to know you and your families over the past few months.

A really funny little guy...

I had a fantastic time at Police Point Park a few weeks ago with this family... Daniel is a few months older than Quin, but so much the same in so many ways. Probably most two year old's are busy and full of energy, and he is no exception... We did some singing, some running, some exploring, some walking backwards, oh, and mom and dad brought a flashlight so that we could look inside some gnarly old trees for bugs. This was all in about an hour.

Oh, and I should mention also that these gorgeous blue eyes have made an appearance on my blog once before - actually as the very first post! Here is the link - The Beginning...

I didn't post very many the first time around so there are a few more this time, enjoy!

This was one of the VERY few times we got him to sit... ;)

Looking for bugs...

Running and enjoying the tall grass...

This is DEFINITELY one of my favorites!

Love his eyes in this one...

Also a favorite...

I am also going to take a second to thank Sonja for entering my summer contest - this was the free session that she won. Here is the link to her summer photo that won the contest...
Contest Winner

Thank you so much Sonja for being a constant supporter and promoter of me and my photos, I really appreciate it. I hope that you love your sneak peek, and there are lots more to come soon.

Don't know what to buy for Christmas?

Do you want to pay for a session or even some prints?
I just wanted to let everyone know that I now have gift certificates available - in $50, $100 and $150 increments.
It's a great Christmas idea for new moms, not so new moms, mom's to be, grandma's, a special lady or man in your life, a great gift to go with a new piece of jewelry or a trip to the spa, or on it's own.

I will even do the wrapping for you!

Click here to buy a gift certificate!

You can now pay with a credit card (through paypal) as well.

The Rood Family...

I am not going to post any family shots today, just because they might be going out in Christmas cards and I don't want to ruin the surprise.

This little man is exactly 1 month and 1 day younger than Quin and I can tell they are into all of the same kinds of trouble... ;) I am just kidding, he was such a sweetie - here is Weston watching his big sisters climbing up the tree.

Here is Matea - looking so pretty. I loved her and her sisters matching outfits. They said they thought they were silly (I think that was the word they used) , but I agree with mom - SO CUTE!

And last but not least - Kiara! Aren't all three kids so gorgeous?

Here are Mom & Dad. Dad (Matt) may look familiar I did a few quick photos a few months ago for Canyon Creek. Here is the link to that post - check them out if you are looking for a new house in the Medicine Hat area, it really is a gorgeous area.

Canyon Creek Photos

I tried two different processing methods - leave me a comment, which do you like best? Warm autumn tones with fantastic light shining through...

Or the moody black and white with a little grain...

I like both...

Anyway, back to processing... check back in the next few days for some SUPER cute wedding accessories that I found and can't wait to share.
